I am a PREP associate and researcher at NIST Boulder. I do research in the field of superconducting electronics and detectors. I received the B.S. degree in physics from Bogazici University, Bebek, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in condensed matter physics from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA, in 2020. My graduate work concerned the physics and surface properties of Superconducting Radio-Frequency Cavities used in next generation particle accelerator. Currently I am building a 1Mpixel Thermally Coupled Imager (TCI) based on superconducting nanowire single photon detectors (SNSPDs) for NASA's upcoming Large Ultraviolet Optical Infrared Surveyor (LUVOIR) mission.
